AFAS Circustheater is one of the most striking event venues on the Dutch coast, located in Scheveningen within walking distance of the beach. Originally opened on 16 July 1904 by Circus Schumann, the building enjoys over 120 years of entertainment history, having served as a real circus, a concert hall and, since a 1991 renovation by musical producer Joop van den Ende, the Netherlands' first open-end musical theatre. The unique premises have grown into an impressive and stylish location that, beyond its evening musical programme, is equally suited to daytime business events.

The theatre accommodates events for 5 to 1,840 guests. Its grand main auditorium can be reduced to a more intimate capacity of 200 when a smaller scale event calls for it, while the stage itself can be used independently for a creative brainstorm, product reveal or seated dinner. Alongside the main hall, AFAS Circustheater offers ten diverse and impressive breakout rooms with excellent facilities, suitable for meetings, product presentations, fashion shows, brainstorming sessions and conferences of every size. A large LED screen on the building's exterior can display a client's logo for striking outdoor branding.

In-house caterer Maison van den Boer, together with preferred technical partner NFGD, ensures every event is delivered with creative, culinary and technical excellence, and the venue carries the Green Key Gold sustainability certification since 2010. AFAS Circustheater is well connected by tram lines 1 and 9 and several bus routes directly to the door, with multiple parking garages nearby — making it an effortless choice for international corporate groups looking to combine a striking seaside setting with a flawless professional production.
