Torpedoloods is a national heritage monument on the historic Berghaven in Hoek van Holland, originally built in 1886–1887 as a storage warehouse for the torpedoes of the Korps Torpedisten. Today it is an atmospheric restaurant, hotel and event location with a beautiful view over the Nieuwe Waterweg and the shipping traffic to and from the port of Rotterdam. In 2024 the building underwent a major renovation with the addition of a large four-season conservatory, doubling capacity to around 300 guests for events while retaining its small-scale, personal atmosphere.
For business groups, Torpedoloods offers three meeting rooms: Europoort (up to 60 guests), Loft (15–20 guests) and Berghaven (10 guests), all with a view over the Nieuwe Waterweg and equipped with modern facilities including a Samsung SMART flip chart. The conservatory, shaped like a greenhouse, can be opened at the top, front and sides and is fitted with misting systems and sun shades to suit any season. For multi-day corporate events there are overnight options directly next to the venue at Hotel MIJN Badhuis (10 rooms) and a 4-minute walk away at Hotel Amerika (20 rooms, incl. bridal suite).
Catering is fully bespoke, from lunch and dinner to multi-day packages. Ample free parking is available on site.
