Sham Oost is an authentic Syrian restaurant on Borneo Eiland, in Amsterdam's Eastern Docklands. It belongs to the Sham family, Amsterdam's first Syrian restaurant, and is 100% Halal-certified.
The kitchen is led by experienced Syrian chefs, preparing authentic mezze, grilled meats and traditional dishes meant to be shared, in keeping with Syrian dining tradition. The dining room opens onto a waterside terrace overlooking the harbour.

Sham Oost's menu centres on an extensive selection of mazas (mezze) meant for sharing, followed by grilled meats and traditional Syrian mains. A vegetarian selection runs throughout.
