Sagardi Amsterdam is a Basque grill restaurant on Spuistraat in the heart of Amsterdam's city centre, a short walk from Dam Square, the Singel canal and Central Station.
The kitchen follows traditional Basque cider-house cooking: gourmet pintxos at the bar, a seasonal menu that changes with the year's produce, fish and shellfish from the Basque coast, and an in-house meat cellar where the txuleton steaks are dry-aged before they meet the charcoal grill that gives the restaurant its character.
For groups the restaurant works on several levels. The main dining room seats 65 guests, a semi-private front dining room seats 18, and the chef's table seats 8, while an exclusive buyout of the whole restaurant accommodates up to 100 guests. A bar and a terrace add space for receptions and pre-dinner drinks.
Sharing menus are the house format, with tailored three-course menus available on request, and vegetarian, vegan, halal and gluten-free requirements catered for when they are confirmed in advance.
With its city-centre location, its own dry-aged beef programme and a dining room built around the fire, Sagardi Amsterdam suits incentive dinners, client entertainment and celebratory group dinners that need a strong sense of place.
