Louise Petit

Louise Petit is an authentic French bistro on the Veerhaven in Rotterdam's Scheepvaartkwartier, founded in 2018 by Loesje Tieleman and named best restaurant in Rotterdam in 2019. Two adjoining rooms with long benches flank a half-open kitchen turning out French classics.

The atmosphere is deliberately old-fashioned and convivial — bustling, warm, with staff in black and white aprons, and a generous terrace looking out over the historic harbour. The cooking is direct and unfussy: rillettes of duck with onion and thyme choucroute, bouillabaisse with seafood and aïoli, côte de boeuf, oysters and classic desserts. The wine list is predominantly French.

Louise Petit welcomes groups from 13 guests for group reservations and private parties, which makes it a strong fit for smaller incentive dinners and team dinners in Rotterdam where character matters more than scale.
