Sustainable Events in Holland: How Holland DMC Partners Supports Green Meetings
Sustainability has moved from a nice-to-have to a genuine business priority for many of the companies and organisations that work with Holland DMC Partners. The Netherlands, with its cycling culture, renewable energy leadership and progressive environmental policies, is a natural home for sustainable events. Here's how Holland DMC Partners helps clients reduce the environmental impact of their meetings and incentive programs.
Sustainable Venue Selection
Holland DMC Partners prioritises venues that hold recognised sustainability certifications, operate on renewable energy, have active waste reduction programmes, and can demonstrate genuine environmental commitments. Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague all have a growing number of venues leading the way in sustainable event hosting.
Low-Carbon Transport Options
The Netherlands has one of Europe's best public transport networks, making it possible to significantly reduce transport-related carbon emissions for events in Dutch cities. Many partners that Holland DMC Partners work with have electric vehicles to use during MICE events. Ofcourse Holland DMC Partners can also plans transport programs that maximise the use of public transport to avoid transport emissions.
Sustainable Catering
Food and beverage is one of the most significant sources of event-related carbon emissions. Holland DMC Partners works with caterers who source locally and seasonally, offer plant-based menu options, minimise food waste and use sustainable packaging. We can design menus that are both delicious and significantly lower in environmental impact.
Sustainable Dutch Experiences
Many of the Netherlands' most distinctive experiences are naturally low-impact. Cycling tours, walking experiences, canal boat trips and visits to sustainable Dutch farms and food producers all make for compelling incentive programme elements that align with green event objectives.
