Van der Valk Hotel Sassenheim-Leiden stands in the bulb region between Schiphol, Leiden and The Hague, with the North Sea beaches a short drive west and the Keukenhof gardens close by in spring.

The hotel counts 157 guest rooms, broken down into sixty-eight Comfort rooms, seventy-nine Deluxe rooms, three Superior rooms and six luxury suites, several of the latter fitted with freestanding baths or a four-poster bed. Guests also have a fitness centre and sauna, Restaurant PAARL, and a Jack's Casino on site.

Its position is the practical argument: barely twenty minutes from Schiphol, close to Leiden's historic centre and universities, and within easy reach of both The Hague and Amsterdam, which makes it a workable base for a programme that moves around the Randstad rather than sitting in one city.

Van der Valk Hotel Sassenheim-Leiden carries sixteen multifunctional meeting and congress rooms, which makes it one of the larger conference properties in the Leiden and bulb-region corridor and a serious option for events that outgrow a city-centre hotel.

The rooms are named for the region and its industry, among them the Regiozaal and the Industriezaal, and they take classroom and theatre layouts as well as full production set-ups. The hotel has handled car launches in its largest hall, with a vehicle craned into the building, which gives a fair measure of what the space and the load-in can carry.

With 157 bedrooms on site, a residential congress or a multi-day incentive can be housed in one building, and Restaurant PAARL together with the casino covers the evening programme.

Being under twenty minutes from Schiphol makes this an efficient choice for an international delegation that needs conference capacity without a long transfer on arrival. Per-room capacities and per-setup figures are being confirmed with the hotel and have deliberately been left out rather than estimated.
