The Usual Rotterdam is a design-led hybrid hotel on Westblaak in the city centre, just off Witte de Withstraat. It works as a hotel, cafe and community space at once, and suits younger corporate groups and creative teams more than a formal five-star programme.

Sustainability is built into the fabric rather than bolted on: cork walls, terrazzo made from offcuts, reclaimed furniture, circular Auping mattresses and organic bedding throughout. The room range is unusually broad, from full studios down to capsule-style Pods with shared bathrooms, which makes it a flexible option for mixed-budget delegations.
