NH Groningen is a four-star hotel on the Hanzeplein in the northern Dutch city of Groningen, a ten-storey tower whose upper floors look out over the medieval Martinitoren and the rooftops of the old town. A ten-minute walk from the Grote Markt and two minutes from the ring road, it places guests within easy reach of both the historic centre and the roads leading north.

The hotel's 127 rooms are finished in calm tones of green and white, many of them framing a view of the Martinitoren, with standard and superior categories alongside family rooms that give parents and children their own separate areas. Every room is air-conditioned and comes with free Wi-Fi, and the hotel is entirely non-smoking. The hotel has 108 TWIN rooms divided over all room categories (73 Standard TWIN rooms, 20 Standard TWIN rooms with view, 15 Superior TWIN rooms).

Mornings begin with an extensive breakfast buffet, open from five o'clock for early departures, while NOSH serves fresh pastries, regional snacks, ice cream and international dinner dishes through the day, and a relaxed bar rounds out the ground floor. A 24-hour gym, bicycle rental and limited on-site parking complete the picture, and the hotel carries Green Key certification as a recognised sustainable property.

For meetings and events, NH Groningen offers three function rooms set on the tenth floor, each filled with natural daylight and opening onto panoramic views across the city, an unusual setting for a conference or reception in Groningen. The Fongerszaal is the largest, seating around 75 in a theatre layout, while the W.A. Scholtenzaal and the CP Lounge take smaller sessions, and the Fongerszaal and W.A. Scholtenzaal join into a single space for up to 130 guests at a reception.

The rooms are supported by audiovisual equipment and a dedicated event planner who helps shape each programme, from board meetings and training days to receptions and private dinners. With 127 bedrooms in the same building, the hotel suits residential meetings and incentive groups that want their sessions, catering and accommodation under one roof, a short walk from the centre of Groningen.
