Landgoed de Wittenburg

Kasteel de Wittenburg is a stately 19th-century castle set in a secluded spot among the dunes, only a short distance from The Hague and the beach. The castle was built in 1899 by Jonkheer Helenus Marinus Speelman and his wife Sophie Adriënne, Baroness Sloet van Oldruitenborgh, and from the 1960s served as an international meeting centre where captains of industry, ministers and international representatives were received. The ten stylish hotel rooms – including two suites with their own sitting room – combine rich fabrics, classic detailing and comfortable bathrooms with original architectural elements such as large windows and fireplaces.

The castle has eleven separate spaces for meetings, presentations and conferences, ranging from the intimate Speelmansalon (29 m², max. 10 guests) to the imposing Oranje Nassau room, which can host up to 500 guests in a reception layout. The glazed Serre, with access to the castle garden and pond, offers an atmospheric setting for dinners and receptions for up to 70 guests. The wooded estate, with more than 200 free parking spaces and free Wi-Fi throughout the castle, makes Kasteel de Wittenburg particularly suitable for international corporate events, incentive dinners and exclusive group receptions in a unique historic setting near The Hague.

For business gatherings, Kasteel de Wittenburg offers eleven stylishly furnished spaces with audio-visual aids on request and free Wi-Fi throughout the castle. The Franse Salon, Kleine Lounge, Grote Lounge and Bibliotheek are suitable for groups of 14 to 80 guests in various layouts (long table, U-shape, theatre, reception). The Serre (13 metres, glass roof) offers space for long-table setups up to 36 guests and receptions up to 70 guests, with direct access to the castle garden. For large-scale conferences and corporate events, the Oranje Nassau room is the largest space, suitable for theatre setups up to 300 guests and receptions up to 500 guests. In good weather, the castle garden can be used for outdoor meetings or receptions. Restaurant Sophie provides the culinary side of every event with a menu inspired by the world travels of the castle's residents Sophie and Speelman: classic French cuisine with subtle Asian influences.
