Elements Terschelling is a luxury group accommodation and design hotel set high in the dunes at Formerum aan Zee on the Wadden island of Terschelling, with direct views over the dunes, the wide beach and the North Sea.

Operated by Dutchen, it is an exclusive-use base for family reunions, group getaways, retreats and small-scale corporate stays where the whole group stays together in one serene setting.

The property pairs the service of a hotel with the space of private apartments. Sandy tones, wood and natural light run through every space, while the restaurant, wellness and lounge areas give a group room to gather and unwind between activities.

There are 67 private en-suite bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Stylish hotel rooms for one to two guests sit on the third and fourth floors and include a generous breakfast at restaurant Dún, while the apartments accommodate two to six guests across approximately 70 to 130 square metres, each with a fully equipped kitchen, living area and private balcony or terrace. Most rooms and apartments look out over dune, forest or sea.

Restaurant Dún is the culinary heart of Elements, serving seasonal island cuisine by chefs Richard van Oostenbrugge and Thomas Groot. The wellness area offers an indoor swimming pool, a Finnish sauna and steam room, plus The|Tides BrainBodyMind Wellness treatments and rituals.

The beachfront dune setting sits near De Boschplaat National Park, ideal for cycling, walking and beach activities. Terschelling is reached by ferry from Harlingen on the mainland, and Elements works with local partners for island transfers and activities, from mudflat excursions to guided dune walks.

Elements Terschelling is designed for groups who want to stay, dine and relax together in one place. It suits family reunions, retreats, yoga weekends, incentive getaways and small corporate gatherings, with the whole party accommodated across the hotel rooms and apartments.

The atmospheric lobby lounge, with its open fireplace, is the natural gathering point for a group, while restaurant Dún is available for group dining from breakfast through to long shared dinners.

Wellness and activities include the pool, sauna and The|Tides treatments, alongside curated island experiences and Play Clinics for team programmes.

A dedicated group room — a separate space for retreats, workshops and small celebrations — is opening next to the hotel.

There is no traditional conference room on site yet; group programmes currently use the lounge, restaurant and the wider property. Per-setup capacities for the new group space are to be confirmed with the operator.
