Carlton President is a contemporary four-star hotel in Utrecht, set between city and countryside in the west of the most central city in the Netherlands. Positioned directly off the A2 motorway that links Amsterdam and Utrecht, it makes an easy, well-connected base for groups who want to stay close to both cities without the bustle of a centre.

The hotel has 161 comfortable rooms across its Standard, Comfort, Deluxe and LoftXL categories, each with a rain shower or bath, fast Wi-Fi and a warm, current design. The generous LoftXL rooms add a separate living space and an urban-loft feel for longer or leisure stays.

Beyond the rooms, guests can unwind in the leisure centre with its whirlpool, Turkish steam bath, sauna and fitness suite, or settle in beside the open fire. Restaurant and bar One24 serves an easy, international menu of Mediterranean flavours with Middle-Eastern accents, from breakfast through to dinner and drinks.

Practical touches make it work for business travel: more than 200 free parking spaces at the door, electric-vehicle charging, a bus stop 200 metres away and a complimentary shuttle to nearby business parks and Maarssen station. Schiphol Airport is around 28 kilometres away, roughly a 30-minute drive, and Utrecht's historic centre and the Jaarbeurs are both close by.

Carlton President is built for meetings and events, bringing everything together under one roof in one of the most central and accessible locations in the Netherlands. Its versatile spaces host conferences, congresses and events for up to 200 delegates, each room carrying the hotel's warm, informal character and backed by attentive, personal service.

The Summit is the flagship congress hall, seating up to 200 guests in theatre style and receiving larger groups for receptions, ideal for conferences, plenary sessions and presentations with impact. Alongside it, five Focus training and meeting rooms flex between theatre, classroom, cabaret, U-shape and boardroom layouts for breakout sessions, trainings and workshops.

Four dedicated brainstorm rooms, Roots, Living, Ocean and the Glass Room, bring a lighter and more creative setting for smaller sessions, while a private bar and private-dining spaces suit celebrations, drinks receptions and intimate dinners. Catering runs from a simple coffee-and-water set-up to a full day-delegate arrangement, with vegan and tailor-made menus on request.

Everything is designed to keep an event running smoothly, from complete audiovisual support and a coffee corner to more than 200 free parking spaces, a bus stop 200 metres from the door and a complimentary shuttle to nearby business parks and Maarssen station. With 161 bedrooms in the same building, multi-day programmes and residential meetings are straightforward to arrange.
