Kijk-Kubus Museum House is a compact architectural attraction in the centre of Rotterdam, set inside one of the city's most photographed landmarks: the tilted yellow cube houses, or Kubuswoningen, designed by the Dutch architect Piet Blom and completed in 1984.

Blom conceived the complex of thirty-eight cubes as an abstract forest, each house a cube turned forty-five degrees and balanced on a hexagonal pylon so that the homes read as trees and the streets as the wood between them. The cubes span the Blaak thoroughfare above Blaak station, sitting between the Oude Haven and the Markthal in the lively heart of the city.

The Kijk-Kubus is one of these cubes fitted out and fully furnished as a walk-through museum house. Visitors climb through its three levels, from the living room and kitchen built into the sloping walls to the bedrooms and the light-filled apex room at the top that Blom called the little forest hut, seeing at first hand how the angular geometry is turned into a workable home and how every piece of furniture was custom-made to fit the leaning walls.

For groups it makes a short and memorable stop of roughly twenty to thirty minutes, self-guided and centrally located within a few minutes' walk of the Markthal, the Oude Haven and Blaak station, so it slots easily into a Rotterdam architecture walk or a wider city programme. Group visits are welcomed throughout the year.
